Always an ACC favourite – Happy Goat Year, Chow Yun Fat!
This is the year of the Goat – or the Sheep – whatever, it’s all about grabbing life by the horns and taking an exciting ride! Goat or sheep, it is the eighth animal in the Chinese Zodiac, and if you were born in 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003, or this year (hello, baby!) you are in for a big year. Goats love to climb (which is why it is better to be a goat than a sheep because all sheep do is stand around and chew grass) so you can set goals and scale the heights to reach them.
Goats are sweeties, kind, gentle and peaceful, but can really leave their mark on the world. Famous Goats are Cao Xueqin (author of the classic Dream of the Red Mansions), General Yue Fei, Chow Yun Fat and Zhang Ziyi, while in the west, Leonard Nimoy, Mel Gibson, Freda Kahlo and Whoopi Goldberg all made their mark.
Po Knows noodles are good for you!
Lunar New Year is all about food, and I am making Hoi Sin Pork, Chicken and Ham Rolls and Long Beans with noodles – the food is all about long life, health, prosierity and good times – every mouthful is symbolic and meant to bring good luck in the new year.
